Q: You’ve worked in diverse roles, from founding your own consulting firm to working with major corporations like Amazon. How have these experiences shaped your approach to sales and leadership?
You must consistently invest time into your acumen throughout your career. No matter how much you've achieved or however you internalize the yield of your career growth you can never do enough learning. The two most important things I've learned from those experiences is 1) to make your thoughts actionable and, execute where possible on plans, advice, and conversations with your clients/co-workers to build trust. And 2) Actively listen to those you engage with because their input could be immensely valuable.
Q: How do you plan to leverage your past experience to drive success in your new role as US Director of Sales at White Ash Group?
I think I've developed a unique skill set so far in my career. But ultimately harnessing a mindset that comes with flexibility will be important as you enter a new industry. From a technical standpoint, my biggest priority is building long-lasting relationships where possible.
Your work at Greentip Consulting involves creating scalable sales processes for businesses. What do you believe is the most important first step for a company looking to grow its sales operations?
I think the most important first step is to review your messaging and your audiences. How are you engaging & communicating with these audiences? How deeply do you understand their concerns? Then of course it comes back to the concept of connecting with these concerns and proactively generating solutions.
Q: How do you plan to leverage your past experience to drive success in your new role as US Director of Sales at White Ash Group?
For me the best course of action is to quickly and consistently get your hands dirty (so to speak). Leaning into platforms and events where I can hear directly from those in the industry is paramount. What's gotten me to this point is loving the process of learning and all its intricacies. From there, I'll learn how to best deploy strategies and new processes to help us connect the dots with both current and potential clients.
Q: The cannabis industry is evolving rapidly, with unique challenges and opportunities. What excites you most about working in this space, and how do you see your skills and experience aligning with the industry's growth and demands?
I'm most excited about the opportunity to work in the industry because of the sheer level of growth that it's experienced and will continue to see. I think my capabilities line up well with expansion because at its root you need curiosity and tenacity to challenge the status quo.
Q: If you could give one piece of advice to someone starting a career in sales, what would it be?
Without beating this into the ground, start with building a sales process that benefits you around those same tenets — listening, engaging, curiosity, and tenacity.
What did you want to grow up to be when you were a kid?
My plan was to be a professional soccer player specifically in Italy.
Tell us something we don't know.
I'm fascinated by antiques — antique cars, furniture, styles. Some things in this world pass the test of time and, I love it.
